How to make the most of space in a narrow living room

Here is an example of a classic narrow lounge with a bay window and we love it! Keep it bright and light with white walls – this will help to make the space appear larger. Keep it minimal and clutter free to make it feel more spacious but invest in few key pieces such as lighting and a feature furniture piece. Beautiful chandelier, quirky floor lamp or a statement armchair will attract the attention. Use a splash of colour in a monochrome scheme to live it up. A picture gallery of art of photographs will make it more personal but keep it arranged on one wall and grouped together. We always like it on the
wall behind the sofa so your eye doesn’t get tired. Full height built-in units and shelving on each side of chimney breast provide plenty of storage. You can tuck your TV on one of the shelves without making it to obnoxious. Corner sofas are super comfy and provide plenty of seating space + the statement armchair in the bay window – perfect for when you have guests around. This mustard yellow ottoman is super comfy as well, works as a coffee table for your book or a magazine (always use tray when having food or drinks) and the top part actually opens so you have more storage. Shutter blinds are always excellent investment as they give you privacy without taking up space as traditional window dressing such as curtains or voiles. Large mirror on your feature wall is always a good idea as it gives you an illusion of bigger space and reflects light.
